Activity groups

Culture Power Station activity groups are on a hiatus for the time being as a precaution to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.
Culture Power Station is developing various communal activities for electronic platforms.

As its name suggests, the senior club is aimed at people who have had a chance to see a bit more of life. The club activities include visitor presentations, crafts, singing together, outings, watching documentaries and discussions about recent events and hot topics over coffee or tee.
The senior club meets in residents' house Alvari on Tuesdays at 13:30-14:30

In the Mediakerho media club comprehensive school age children and teenagers can familiarize themselves with different types of media and the equipment used to create them. The club offers photography, video filming, animation, timelapse and soundwork – without forgetting media education.

The media club Verso meets on Thursdays, 16:30-18:00, at residents' house Alvari (Kuorimokatu 1).

Art club for children and youths (Farshaxanka art project)

Club has organized a variety of activities over the years: paper mass sculptures, community art paintings, circus tricks, street art, and sculptures of ice and snow. The art club’s outings and camps have been very popular.

Open art workshops for children and youths, Mondays, 16:00 - 20:00.  (Finnish only)

NB! During the Roundhouse art workshop's renovation, in the early autumn 2019, we will assemble in Tuira, at Tuirantie 1 (green wooden house, former crisis centre).
