Children's Culture Power Station




In the Mediakerho media club comprehensive school age children and teenagers can familiarize themselves with different types of media and the equipment used to create them. The club offers photography, video filming, animation, timelapse and soundwork – without forgetting media education.
The media club Verso meets on Thursdays, 16:30-18:00, at residents' house Alvari (Kuorimokatu 1).







Farshaxanka art club for children (Association of Somalis in Northern Finland) has organized a variety of activities over the years: paper mass sculptures, community art paintings, circus tricks, street art, and sculptures of ice and snow. The art club’s outings and camps have been very popular.

On summer Mondays from 14:30 to 18:00 Kulttuurivoimala – Culture Power Station’s Roundhouse holds the art workshop's Open Doors events aimed at both children and adults. Each event will have supervised activities also suitable for children. There have been many different types of ventures during the summer; one of the children’s favorites was most likely the making of Fluffy Slime.
